Foreign Language
Language is the heartbeat of culture. We introduce foreign languages to plant the seeds of global citizenship early on. Our students learn to listen, speak, and understand with an open heart, broadening their perspectives and building a foundation of respect for every voice in our global community.
Music
Children are immersed in songs, rhythms, and foundational musical concepts such as tempo, pitch, and dynamics through an active, performance-centered music program. Throughout the year, students have meaningful opportunities to showcase their learning in holiday performances. The program culminates in a distinctive annual opera directed by professional musicians, where students engage in songs and choreography that enhance memory, sequencing, and confidence. Every child has an opportunity to shine!
Art
Our ‘Art from the Heart’ studio is a warm, sunlit invitation for children to step into a world of color and imagination. We believe that every child is an artist, and our program is designed to be a safe, loving space where their unique sense of wonder can truly take flight.
Through a rich variety of hands-on, mixed-media materials, our students don’t just ‘do art’—they explore it. While they are busy playing with textures and colors, they are also naturally soaking up an artistic vocabulary and learning the beautiful techniques of self-expression.
We call our projects ‘delight-directed’ because we follow the child’s natural spark. Our goal isn’t just to produce a finished piece, but to inspire students and their families to recognize the incredible creative potential that lives within every child. It’s about the joy of the process, the mess of discovery, and the confidence that comes from bringing an idea to life.
Fitness
At our school, we see physical activity as much more than just recess, it is a vital part of how a child builds confidence and connects with the world. We’ve carefully designed our indoor and outdoor environments to be a seamless space where children can challenge themselves safely and joyfully. Whether they are building core strength on our natural climbing structures outside or refining their balance and grace in our classrooms, students are encouraged to lean into that maximum effort their growing bodies crave. By honoring their natural need to move, we help them develop not just physical coordination, but the self-assurance and independence that stay with them for a lifetime.
Suzuki Violin
We see the violin as a gateway to discipline, grace, and self-expression. Our Suzuki-inspired curriculum invites students to develop a true ‘feel’ for their instrument, mastering fundamentals through a supportive partnership with their dedicated teacher. By blending technical skill with an intuitive understanding of music theory, we help our students build a solid foundation that stays with them long after the lesson ends. It’s about more than just playing the right notes; it’s about fostering a lifelong love for the arts.
Chess
A chessboard is more than just a game—it’s a quiet invitation to think, plan, and imagine. We love watching our students discover the clever strategies and tiny details that make each move special. Whether they are solving a puzzle together or focusing on their own next step, children are learning the beautiful art of patience and the thrill of a plan coming together. It’s a wonderful way for them to build confidence, one thoughtful move at a time.
Ceramics
In Ceramics, we invite our students to think in three dimensions. This program is a wonderful extension of our tactile Montessori roots, allowing children to explore form, weight, and space through the art of clay. Guided by a spirit of discovery, students master the foundational hand-building techniques of pinch, coil, and slab construction. As they mold and refine their work, they develop incredible fine motor strength and the patience required to see a project through from a lump of clay to a finished piece of art.
Nature Studies
Nature has a beautiful way of meeting a child exactly where they are. For some, it is a wide-open space to release big energy; for others, it is a quiet, sunlit corner to find a moment of peace. Our outdoor environment is prepared with the same love and intention as our indoor classrooms, ensuring that every child can spend time in the fresh air every single day.
This connection to the earth becomes even more special as our students help care for our school chickens and bunnies. By tending to these gentle animal friends, children learn the quiet rhythms of responsibility and the tender art of empathy. Whether they are building strength through play or learning the patience needed to hold a bunny, the outdoors offers our children a boundless stage for joy, kindness, and a lifelong love for the living world.
Library
Our library is a cozy gateway to imagination and a lifelong love of reading. Here, children are free to explore a world of wonder, from timeless classics to modern discoveries. Through gentle guidance, our students learn to navigate the shelves and find their own voices as independent readers. More than just a room full of books, it’s a quiet sanctuary where curiosity knows no bounds and every child can find a story that speaks to their heart.
