ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Neshaminy Montessori believes in the power of a well-rounded education that nurtures and supports the whole child. We understand that learning extends beyond the traditional core subject areas, which is why we value the inclusion of special enrichment classes in our curriculum. These classes allow students to explore different interests, develop new skills, and discover hidden talents. By engaging in our enrichment programs, our students broaden their perspectives, foster creativity, and cultivate a love for lifelong learning.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Exposes our students to the richness of different cultures and languages. They learn to communicate and understand languages other than their own, broadening their cultural awareness and fostering a sense of global citizenship.
MUSIC
Students discover the joy of rhythm, melody, and harmony. They learn to play different instruments, explore various genres of music, and have the opportunity to participate in ensembles and performances.
SUZUKI VIOLIN
Students embark on a musical journey, learning the fundamentals of playing the violin, mastering techniques, and developing a solid foundation in music theory. They receive hands-on instruction from experienced violin teachers who guide them through the learning process.
CHESS
Students delve into the intricacies of the game, learning the rules, strategies, and tactics that govern each move. They engage in both individual and group activities that enhance their understanding of chess principles and techniques.
TECHNOLOGY
Our Lower Elementary program blends technology with traditional, hands-on learning to support literacy development. The school library provides a dedicated computer station with internet access for research alongside other resources. Students can explore online information, but we prioritize printing the materials to foster focused reading. The internet also opens doors to collaboration and cultural exchange. We may connect with other Montessori schools across the US and globally, enriching our lessons with diverse perspectives.
FITNESS
Provides our students with a platform to develop physical fitness, coordination, and sportsmanship. Through team sports, individual activities, and fitness exercises, students learn the importance of a healthy lifestyle, teamwork, and perseverance.
ART
Engages Our Art from the Heart" studio program invites our children into a loving, creative environment where their talents and sense of wonder may be discovered, explored and nurtured through the visual arts. They engage with a variety of mixed media materials that are age appropriate and fun. The students are also learning different techniques and methodologies of art making as well as developing an artistic vocabulary based on the visual fundamentals. Projects are "delight directed" with the intent to inspire and encourage students and families as they recognize the creative potential within every child.
CERAMICS
Takes artistic expression to a three-dimensional level. Students learn the art of working with clay, shaping and molding it into various forms. They explore different hand-building techniques such as pinch pottery, coil building, and slab construction.
LIBRARY
Students are introduced to the wonders of literature, opening the doors to a world of imagination, creativity, and knowledge. They have access to a vast collection of books, ranging from classic literature to contemporary works, across various genres and subjects. Through guided exploration, students learn how to navigate the library, locate books, and begin to engage in independent reading.
OUTDOOR PROGRAMS
Nature’s calming effect helps children who need a release of energy or a peaceful place to regulate their emotions. Our learning approach allows children to deepen their understanding, respect, and love of nature through play and exploration.
Neshaminy Montessori gives access to an outdoor environment that is prepared with purpose and care, providing a space for learning, exploration, creativity, fine and gross motor skills, joy, and imagination development. Children can spend time outside every day while at school.
